We have an opportunity to come alongside the Zionsville Parks (specifically, the Carpenter Nature Preserve) to help clear out some of their over-grown weeds/honeysuckle!
On October 4th at 12pm, we are going to meet at the Carpenter Nature Preserve (CLICK HERE FOR THE ADDRESS). Here are the instructions given to me from Will Wright (Zionsville Parks Lead):
“We would love to have you and your group out at Carpenter Nature Preserve for a Weed Wrangle on Oct. 4th from 12p-2p!
BCIC (Boone County Invasive Cooperative, a nonprofit) will be assisting alongside our Parks Maintenance Technician, Arron, with guidance, training, supplies, etc. BCIC is a group of passionate volunteers focused on removing invasive vegetation throughout Boone County. We ask that everyone wear closed-toe shoes and bring water and gloves.
Our goal for the afternoon is to remove honeysuckle around the barns and maintenance shop area."
THIS SERVICE PROJECT IS IN REPLACEMENT OF OUR REGULAR LOFT; SO WE WILL NOT BE GATHERING FROM 6-8pm THAT EVENING!
