Church & COVID-19

We're gathering for in-person services on August 2!

What will it look like to regather as a church?

So much has changed about how we go about life in the last several months, that it’s easy to wonder how church is going to be different as well.

We love worshiping together and know it’s an important part of living everyday life with Jesus, but we want to do it in a way that is safe given the reality of living through a global pandemic.

What’s changed? A lot, and yet nothing. The way church looks will be different, we’ll be masked and social distanced, but Jesus is the same. He hasn’t changed and that is why we gather to worship.

Below you will find a list of things that are changing and what you can expect when you arrive for worship.

How are we cleaning?

We are committed to keeping the church clean with regular disinfecting before each Sunday service. In addition, commonly touched surfaces will be wiped down with disinfectant wipes.

Do we need to wear a mask?

Yes. Jesus asks us to love our neighbor, and sometimes that looks like wearing a mask to church. Online worship will continue to be available for those who are unable to wear a mask.

People Flow

Please pay attention to the direction signage at our front entrance.

But I want to hug my friends!

We miss seeing you and want to hug you too! But we also want to do as much as we can to keep everyone safe and healthy, so we’re encouraging folks to keep 6 feet between family groups. When seated in the auditorium, please keep 4 chairs between family groups.

Coffee & Snacks

We love gathering together over a cup of coffee and a homemade pastry before church, but during this time, we will not be offering any food or drink. Additionally, water fountains will be closed.

Are we passing the offering?

We’re changing things up a bit by providing offering boxes at the auditorium entrance. Giving continues to be available at eaglehchurch.com/give and by texting GIVE to 317.344.8111.

Hand Sanitation & Restrooms

Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the church. The restrooms in the Atrium will be open in addition to our main restrooms located in the lower level.

What about Students & Kids?

It’s all about safety and how students and kids regather will look different based on age groups. Currently, Eagle Students will tentatively kick-off at August 23 while Eagle Kids is looking at September to regather. A wiggle room will be available in the lower level for families with kiddos who need a little space to move.

Online Church

The livestream will continue to be available at 10am and 7pm with our online hosts. Full services and the message are available here.

Indoor Playground

The playground will continue to be closed until further notice.
